Mountain Outpost (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Mountain Outpost SMS Race Updates program. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you opt into our SMS messaging service.

When you opt into the Mountain Outpost SMS Race Updates program, we collect:

• Your opt-in status and the date/time of opt-in
• Your event preferences (which races or events you follow)

How We Use Your Information

Your phone number and preferences are used solely to send you SMS race updates for Mountain Outpost live broadcast events. This includes race start notifications, live coverage alerts, and finish line updates during events you've opted into.

We do not use your information for marketing purposes unrelated to race updates.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your phone number or personal information with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes. Your information is never shared with third parties outside of what is strictly necessary to deliver SMS messages through our messaging provider.

Data Retention

We retain your phone number and opt-in record for as long as you remain subscribed to the Mountain Outpost SMS Race Updates program. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at support@mountainoutpost.com.

Your Rights

You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, you will receive no further messages. To re-subscribe, text START to the same number.

X (Twitter) Integration

When Mountain Outpost publishes to X, we access limited data from X including account ID, username, and OAuth access tokens. We use this data solely to:

• Authenticate publishing requests
• Display the connected account in our admin interface
• Post content explicitly approved by authorized operators

We do not read your timeline, direct messages, follower lists, or any other X data. We do not share your X credentials with third parties. Tokens are stored encrypted and can be revoked at any time by disconnecting the integration at x.com/settings/connected_apps. Use of X data is governed by X's Privacy Policy.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
