Mammoth Trailfest 50K 2026 | Race Recap
The Mammoth Trailfest 50K presented by CRAFT, day two of the 2026 festival. 32 miles and more than 7,000 feet of climbing on a single loop from the village of Mammoth Lakes, over the 11,053 foot summit of Mammoth Mountain, past seven alpine lakes. Both defending champions came back as course record holders. Both records fell. David Sinclair wins the men's race in 3:56:31 and breaks Chad Hall's course record by more than two minutes, the morning after finishing third in the Dragon's Back Ascent. Hall, the old record holder, is second in 4:13:07. Sean Riedel third, Noam Franchi of Ecuador fourth, Jeret Gillingham fifth. Clara Caspard wins the women's race in 4:59:48, beating her own course record and becoming the first woman to break five hours on this course and the first to win it twice. Emma Sjolund is second in 5:05:14, the day after her brother Adam took second in the Dragon's Back Ascent. Peyton Bilo third, Sylvie Abel fourth, Philippa Richter fifth.
