The courses range from a Vertical Kilometer (VK), 11K, 21K, 28K & 50K. For those of you wanting even more of a challenge there is the infamous Rut Trifecta which includes the VK, 28K & 50K… three races over the course of three days! These iconic trail races challenge runners with their rugged terrain, breathtaking views, and an overall demanding course. For those of you with that extra competitive spirit a cash prize offer does exist for the VK, 28K and 50K. These are for both male and female podium finishers and there is NO prize money for either the 11K, 21K or the Runt Run (kids only 1K).
Prize Money breakdown:
VK: 1st – $1,000; 2nd – $500; 3rd – $250
28K & 50K: 1st – $3,000; 2nd – $1,000; 3rd – $500

Watch the full stream of the challenging Vertical Kilometer, an entirely up-hill race gaining 3,632 ft. of elevation in just 2.8 miles!
Stream 2: 28K
Date & Time: Saturday, September 14, 2024 – 6:45am MDT Broadcast
Tune in as runners attempt to traverse this course and take on extremely steep and technical sections of exposure and rockfall hazard on a trail not for the faint of heart.
Stream 3: The 50K
Date & Time: Sunday, September 15, 2024 – 6:30am MDT Broadcast
Come see as those with the skills to take on this challenge make their way through the extremely difficult and potentially unforgiving 50K course. Similar to the 28K but even more in quantity, there are sections of very steep and serious exposure as well as technical sections that will test every runner.
